Finally got a chance to get out again. Had a nice doe and a fawn come through almost at close. Picked a tree a little closer to where they came from for tomorrow evening. Hope they do the same thing!

Preventing me from getting to the stand on time. SLOW train.

That is frustrating, I had the Mike Pence motorcade shut down the freeway on me a few years back.

Beautiful morning. Saw 5 does and 1 small buck about 200 yards out. Tried to put the stalk on them but the snow is super loud.

Beautiful end to the MN muzzy season. No deer spotted tonight but got to share the stand with my youngest.

Well got out saturday morning and didnt see much. Tried a new area this evening and struck some late season gold. Pushed 3 does out of a bedding area. Setup pretty close to where they were and saw a handful more plus a little buck before close to top it off.

Got access to a new spot, and tried it out last night trying to fill a doe tag. Had never set foot on the land before, so setup at the top of a bluff with two decent trails coming up in shooting range. Only one spot I couldn’t get a shot or see them coming was up the steepest part of the bluff….and a doe, yearling and fawn came right up that way and busted me at about 12 yards. doah jester

Well pretty slow sit tonight. Sat on top of the ridge i saw those does spook to last time and nothing. Did see 10 turkeys! Only a few hunts left before seasons up shock

I think I’m going to call it for the year. I could hunt Sunday but the wind will be wrong. After that the temp falls out. Saw -19 for a low on Tuesday.

Not like you didn’t try @deertracker. Seems like you spend more time in the stand than anyone based on the amount of times you post throughout the season. Do you hunt with a bow, gun, and muzzle loader?

I’m actually pretty excited for the weather next week along with 3 more days of muzzleloader next weekend. Hopefully a good cold front will get a mature buck out on the field a little earlier. Good luck to anyone still putting in the hours!

What state are you in that muzzy is still open? I’m jealous.

Yes. I’ll actually go bow, gun, muzzy and back to bow. Lol

I hunt MN, and next weekend is the late CWD hunt. Guns, muzzleloader, and bows are all fair game the 31st-2nd in certain zones. Another plus is the cold will keep most of the people out of the woods!

I managed to pick up a nasty little cold this week that’s kept me out of the woods, but I made it out tonight finally. Corn to the left and a cross the draw is beans. What more could they ask for!

I ended up shooting a little buck on the 29th in Iowa with the muzzy. We had seen this deer bow hunting but it never got close enough to shoot. It has half a front leg and can hardly walk. Felt bad for it, especially with winter coming up. Put it out of its misery and don’t regret that one bit. It’s body was really small as well. Not what I was wanting to do with my tag, but it was the right thing to do!

Well had my last sit of the season. Only saw two does right at close and spooked one on the way out. Time to get ready for next season toast

Thanks for the IA response on a different thread Loomis. Similar results in IA, pulled the trigger on a mature deer that satisfied my first experience for IA deer hunting. Got 4 whitetails in the freezer and excitement for 2022 season wandering the woods still.
