Fished the bay Friday afternoon and Saturday. Large areas of muddy water throughout with temps ranging from 37°-42° depending on the clarity. We worked shallow to deep from Washburn to Onion/Sioux River. Best depth seemed to be around 20 fow with bright flicker shads and Brad’s Thinfish the most productive baits. Released several undersized splake as well, and the smelt run just started.
Anybody have any thoughts on the Ranger 619? I got pricing on a 2014 with Yamaha 225, and they’re significantly cheaper than a 620. I walked around inside both boats, and they feel very similar, but unsure if the 619 could fish as well as the 620 in the rough stuff? Talking from mostly a trolling standpoint for Green Bay & Lake Superior.

Maybe buy a Skeeter.
You can probably buy a new one with a 250 yammie for $60K.I priced the WX2060 and it was well over $60K.
How about the Skeeter just posted today. Sounds like a heck of a deal for ya!
I guess I should have been more specific with the wording of my ad, but I’m looking for a Ranger 620VS with Yamaha’s. A 621, nor a Skeeter WX2190 will fit in my garage.
Thanks though.
Have looked at Outdoorsfirst.com? They have a 2013 620 for $58,000. There are quite a few Rangers.
Never mind! Evinrude and Lowrance
Yup, I’ve been looking daily under Walleye Central, Craigslist, Walleye Inc, Walleye First and many of the Midwest dealerships. Just doesn’t seem to be a lot of Rangers with Yamaha set ups. I have spoke with one Green Bay guide/pro whose boat will be for sale in November, just not sure of a tournament boat or one that was guided in heavily? I think if Yamaha had a contingency offer for tournaments there would be more pros running them.

I agree, prices are crazy. I remember my dad buying his 16′ SmokerCraft back in ’97 and paying $9,500, and thinking that was a lot.
Thanks for suggestion…And yup, been keeping a lookout on WC every day, but was hoping someone who was considering selling would read my post, and maybe bypass advertising.
Wow, unreal!…Never seen that many huge lakers at one time come out of Lk.Superior.
James…What size leader do you recommend off the leadcore for these fish?…
Great show, and had nice weather to boot.
Just returned from Sha Sha Resort last week. Bad experience with the cabin we rented. Electrical surges occurred our entire stay which left lights flickering on & off, appliances shutting off and bulbs burning out on different lamps. It was a hassel watching the direct tv in the evening because it would go out numerous times, and then there was the 5 minute process of waiting for it to reboot. Notified owners several times, but nothing was done. Very frustrating week, but the fishing was decent.
