I have Walker ATACS and like them. I use them deer hunting and have a hat or hood and never any issues with it changing settings. Don’t remember where the hell I put them to check right now but I think you have to click the buttons. Not quite as comfortable as smaller earbuds if you were moving a lot but no issues sitting around and just walking to and from stand for me. I like the tether for these so I can’t drop one where I’d never find it. The $200 price on Walker website is crazy, can find them for 90 or 100.

He was charged for violating 624.7181 subdivision 2.

so now if the BB gun in this case is a BB pistol then there should of been no charges filed for the carrying of it in the vehicle because under 624.712 a BB pistol is not defined as a pistol by statue.

Irrelevant, a BB gun is a BB gun whether it is classified as a pistol or not.

I can’t imagine how the younger generation who needs to be liked by everybody can deal with these A$$HOLES.

What a bizarre idea, younger people grew up with spam and aren’t the ones buying out Itunes gift cards to send to scammers. jester

    Yes, that’s in Subd. 3 here: 97B.045

Made 2nd post because 2 links in one never works for me. There are a bunch of exceptions to this rule though that make it complicated. DNR recommends:

The best advice is to always unload and always case., there will be no doubt as to if the firearm is being legally transported

That seems really weird. Can people jump into your car if you’re on a highway and your car is considered public? Strange ruling.

As to being in the public while on the road I disagree with. Unless a law enforcement person is given permission or a valid reason to search a vehicle, like smelling dope, alcohol, etc, I think they need to get a search warrant. Maybe our resident offer will pipe up on this.

This doesn’t say your car is a public space. It says the car is not a container that removes a firearm from being in a public space as the law applies to carrying firearms. The argument was that a car is private property but so is a purse, or a backpack, or any container you own. To carry a firearm “in a public place” requires either a permit or it must match one of the allowed methods in the statutes and simply being “in a car” is not one of them.

DNR guy, “Oh, there’s another permanent stand on public lands. Gotta match? Here, hold my beer!!” rotflol

Sounds like someone read their handbook and said “it doesn’t say we can’t use dynamite”.

Permit to carry law does not apply to long guns. Pistols only.

    -J.

Nope, 624.7181 RIFLES AND SHOTGUNS IN PUBLIC PLACES. says it does not apply to “(3) the carrying of a BB gun, rifle, or shotgun by a person who has a permit under section 624.714;”

Wouldn’t recommend it but you can carry a long gun.

I don’t see how it changes anything, the lower court agreed to some language nitpicking in my opinion and ignored a former mn supreme court ruling. You either need a carry permit or you have to follow the normal transport rules like unloaded and fully cased or unloaded and in trunk is all this says.

Mine has gone up only $2-5 per car per month the last couple renewals. My home insurance has gotten crazy though. Just shop around and switch, there’s no benefit to being a longtime customer but there’s always deals for new business.

The place I worked at the time got 309k for “payroll”. We were already fine and made things relevant to working from home so had never been busier. Not sure where that went coffee

Nope, but can anyone explain how these once in a lifetime eclipses that won’t happen again until year 2167, happen every 5-10 years?!?

Total eclipses are about every 18 months, the next one will be August 2026. From any given location it’s only visible about once every 100 years though. The next time a total eclipse will be visible from Minnesota is in 2099.

So Kathy’s husband is still building a business.

I guess you could say James Cargill II helped build Cargill Inc.

How? What has he done or what is he doing? Is he CEO or something?

William Cargill started the company that currently employs 150,000 people in 68 countries, and feeds the world.

Pretty sure that’s a different person than I asked about who died over 100 years ago…

I haven’t read through the bill, but saw this posted online.. does the bills language state the same?

About privately held land? Yeah, the bill is for “state-owned land and real property that the commissioner administers within one mile from the lakeshore of the portion of Upper Red Lake that is in state ownership”.

Meant to say Supreme court ruling….. Yep, that would be the Supreme Court case that I was referring to

The ruling was directly split on the liberal/conservative line. The tribes were wise to push forward with this while the Supreme court had a liberal majority.

7/9 were appointed by Republican presidents and maybe O’Connor wasn’t “conservative enough” or something but I definitely don’t think she was “liberal”.

All we have to do is review the Mille Lacs debacle for reference. You have the 1837 treaty followed with the 1850 executive order by President Taylor then look at the Supreme ruling. The ruling was directly split on the liberal/conservative line. The tribes were wise to push forward with this while the Supreme court had a liberal majority.

The 1999 State of Minnesota et al. v. Mille Lacs Band of Chippewa Indians et al. ?

    Do you hate socialism?

Especially when it’s taxpayers subsidizing the ability of profitable corporations to underpay their workers.

Do the socialism hating wagon pullers ( lol ) here know they’re disproportionally paying for public assistance of these drivers vs other workers in Minnesota while Uber made a billion dollars last year?

On another note they’re all independent contractors who mostly use multiple apps at the same time already. Uber and Lyft leaving just gives that business to whichever other ones want to open there and catch on…

    https://driveempower.com/press-release-2/minnesota-empower-is-coming-soon/

While we don’t believe Uber and Lyft will actually leave and let drivers work for themselves without a fight, Empower will make its software and services available to drivers in the Twin Cities on or before May 1, 2024,” said Joshua Sear, CEO of Empower

Wridz is another established one already operating in several cities.

Well I’m glad the people who won’t go to Minneapolis anyways have something to complain about but this is basic negotiating tactic and, if they leave at all, it won’t be for long. Uber & Lyft pay drivers more in many cities where they still operate. They’re just hoping the city backs down or the state overrides it somehow.
