No, it’s way off. It reads 100’s of feet off. Like it’s not working. Is there a way to link the two on the same transducer?

Dredging? Certain areas to stay away from? Maybe with the boiling temperatures we’ve had lately, the river may be a better option.

Thanks for all of the replies! I’ll get back to him and tell him to save his money. Thanks again!

Ok. Got a little more info for you. It’s a 2016 v-2 power drive w/spot lock. I’m guessing with this info, the gps puck isn’t needed for spot lock? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply’s. I can’t get anything to work. I should check to see if the kids somehow crammed sometimes the SD port, it seems like the card won’t go all the way in. They’ve ruined 2 DVD players in the house by doing something similar. Can a guy take the unit to Cabelas or scheels and have them do it? Anyone heard of that?

If I save the waypoints to a card, can I then save them to the new unit? Newbie here, sorry about all the questions. I’d so how’s it done?

Update. After a couple more beers and head scratching, I took the SD card out of the 597 and back into the helix 7, put it on auto map, and it came up! But none of my saved waypoints are with it? Are they saved to the unit only and not the card? Oh well, at least it’s showing up now, I’ll take it!

How do you do the updates? There wasn’t a manual that came with it?

Absolutely awful. I hate what your feeling now. Dogs can be such wonderful companions, and we become so attached to them. RIP Nickel

Thanks for the replies. Any suggestions as to what rod would work best for jigging that’s under $200?

I knew I could count on this site to narrow it down! We live in NE Iowa. Will start looking this evening at different places. Thanks a lot!
