I really want to keep the design simple and keep the boat open and yet structurally sound, balanced, safe, and riding well on the water. This is what i’m looking for cuz i don’t really have the skill or the time to do it, lol. I am very excited to get this boat going. The boat is unique and has alot of character and i plan to keep it for a while. It will be awesome for my baby girl, she will be nearly two this summer and its time for some boat rides and maybe a snoopy pole . It is much deeper and wider and more stable, and with a carpet flooring it will be great for her and her mom.

This is an older boat that has been totally gutted, a bench has been removed which might cause balance issues or structural issues. There is no existing wiring and i would like to upgrade the electrical system a bit which is not a skill i learned. I need someone with expertise to have it done right so it will last. Its gonna take more then a drill and circular saw for sure.

This is my first documented 25 lb carp(25.6). I may have hit this mark in the past but this is the first one I’ve actually been able to weigh. One hell of a battle! It’s not the best picture but it’s enough to silence my trash talking buddies, lol.

Every time I go to Menards they usually have green treated but not marine grade. I’ll have to double check that cuz there is a Menards a couple blocks from my house.

Most of those fish are in private waters managed by clubs etc. Most of the big fish have names and people mourn them when they die.

I was in DL also and hammered the gills. They were in the shallow side of a very large lake in 4-7 fow. All in the 9-10″ range with some jumbo perch and bass mixed in. Almost 3 ft of ice where i was.

C G, are you finding them in deep basins like crappies. Suspended or off bottom?

I’ve always done well with a glow ratso for jigging and demon jigs on a dead stick with a crappie minnow. charge them up good before you drop them down.

Very nice. Here is one I caught out of the river just south of St Paul yesterday. Photos dont really do it justice but Im sure it would of folded up my walleye net if hoisted in the boat wrong. The carp, buffalo and other rough fish are schooled up tight on the rivers up here now and all winter.

where???? I want to catch them. lol

Got a few nice eaters fishing a Chisago area lake. I was out over a 30 fow basin area fishing crappies. The crappies were up high and the eyes were sitting on bottom. small white jigs with fatheads. Having flashers out with us was the key. 6 eyes and 10 nice crappies for two guys.

Here’s your solution, buy an underwater camera. There is no perfect rod.
