The clam hub light works well and is easy. Stays attached all the time. Can power off your flasher or a battery.

What are the restrictions making it hard for the average guy to fish this lake?
Between thieves, drug addicts, drunks, and those keeping too many fish on our lakes…I’m happy to see CO’s out and about. I’m not offended by our public servants knocking on doors and checking on folks, myself included.
If they violate rights or act inappropriately, follow up accordingly. Outside of that, let them do their job. It’s us and our resources they are protecting.
I’m on my 4th season with a 949i, no complaints. Go insulated for sure, whatever you get. A friend of mine was next to me in an otter hub on a below 0 day. We both had big buddies going. His seemed to hold heat better than mine. Both have different small features that are nice. Otter has the hose hole for running a big tank outside the shack. Eskimo has the netting on the ceiling. Both seemed pretty comparable though.
Went out to Indian point. Everyone had the same input out there, which was “very slow and no clear pattern”.
The pattern we established was, no fish. All good though, had a great time on the lake. As far as the two road warriors…sounds like the makings of a reality show.
Thanks fellas. Going to try Rocky’s. If I catch any I’ll post a report. If I don’t…I’ll quietly wallow in my shame.
Yup! I like all the white canvas in the back ground of everyone’s pictures. Thermal or not…it’s frosty out there!
All in good fun guys…I made it out for the evening bite.
-The only problem was, they didn’t bite.
Drove by O’Dowd in Shakopee yesterday afternoon. There was a guy about 50 yards out. I’d be surprised if there was more than 2 inches.
I pre-wrap the rod/real with Glad Press’n Seal. It sticks a little and won’t leave residue. Then you don’t have to worry about tackiness from electrical tape.
I cut the cord with cable a month ago to save some $$$. Just want to say thanks for uploading the current episodes. There aren’t many shows that you can catch on YouTube the same week, or same day, as on tv.
Craigslist. A couple months ago I found a 1 man Frabill Ultra Lite house for $20, never used. Earlier this week I found an unused 6″ strikemaster lazer hand auger for $20. That would leave a guy $160 on the tight budget…or just sweet deals for setting up an early ice rig
There are good deals on new or like new gear out there, you just need to sift through the beat up stuff.
I made a latrine for my 4 year old daughter.
-5 gallon bucket
-Kids soft potty training seat
-lid, with hole cut out so the seat fits tight
-pour hole near the bottom.
*If its needed for deuces (adult or child) put a plastic bag in it
Here’s what I’m going to try this season. If it fails, I’m out $8 worth of hardware.
Yeah, I’ll be curious to see how it holds up too. If they burn up quick, I’m out nothing. Just some waste material taking up space in the garage and a little time.
I have some left over materials from my AZEK PVC deck I’m planning on using to make some runner kits. In the winter time if there’s a light powder on the deck it can be tough to stay on your feet…hoping that translates to a slick runner kit.
