Also said the females in the nets are not ripe yet. the 5er was face first, I didnt even see any foul hooked monday night… kinda nice for a change. Well I might head down tonight.

March 24, 2009 at 5:30 pm #762049I normally make it down at least once every two weeks sometimes once a week. only been down once this year in jan. below the spillway. Im always chasin eyes, but would like to find a couple crappie holes this year. I caught some 13 and 14 inch last year trollin cranks. Even caught 3 northern down there last year.
March 23, 2009 at 5:23 pm #761568I know I was going to put the boat in at the red rock dam and head down river… until they opened it up didnt figure there was any use. wher they biting by the dam at rathbun?
March 3, 2009 at 6:20 pm #754553you are absolutlty right go shallower even right up against the bank at times, maybe try something different this year and cast the bank with your rapalas you wont be disapointed. Its really odd the warmer the better the bite is for me.
March 13, 2008 at 5:39 pm #665045I went down there this past weekend. didnt fish but was watching and talking to a few people that were catching a few walleyes on the south side of the dam by the walkway that goes in the water. But the big one I seen was a guy caught a 9 pounder by the boat ramp. After seeing that Im for sure going to be down there alot for the next few weeks. bad thing now is the water is so dirty.. dont know how the bite will be.
July 5, 2007 at 5:27 pm #587133your right the bite has been gettin pretty good. I was down there mon. and wed. and done well both days trollin cranks. cant wait to go back this weekend!
June 27, 2007 at 5:30 pm #584801i havent been there in 6 or 7 days but i did catch a few walleyes they were all small though i was trollin shad raps in around 9-12 fow. could caught more but i was busy pullin white bass off my line the whole time. I’ve only been fishing till around noon due to all the goofballs in the big fancy boats. but if you stay down by south fork or bridge view its not to bad. sorry i couldnt help to much. good luck
