I found the same pattern yesterday on Pool 10. Seems to be about the same pattern for the last month or so…

Wow Dave! That lady is a monster! Congrats on that trophy! Glad you are getting out.
March 11, 2009 at 11:21 am #757214Extremely high and muddy. It’ll get better in the next couple of weeks though.
February 20, 2009 at 12:05 pm #750740The Pit Stop is where I usually go. Brenda is really nice and they are usually open pretty early where you can even get breakfast. It’s a small bar, restaraunt, bait/tackle and convienience store all in one – what else could you want!!
March 11, 2008 at 1:05 am #664087I contacted mine. One said she was for it and the other one said I was the first one to contact him about it and he didn’t know which we he was going to stand on it.
COME ON PEOPLE!!! It just takes a short e-mail!
June 16, 2007 at 5:36 am #581117Caught one just about the same size yesterday below L & D No. 9 on the ‘Sippi. My forearm is still sore! It’s amazing the power those fish have – especially when they see the surface.
June 15, 2007 at 1:37 pm #580824I would say it is at normal levels currently, but it will soon be getting to low water levels making it hard to get boats in many areas.
Here is a website that is really helpful for checking water levels.
Wapsi River Level at Independence
The catfish and smallmouth bite recently has been hot.
June 12, 2007 at 1:17 am #579752A friend and I used to fish it a lot in mid 90’s with almost the identical boat and motor (only a 60hp). You should be fine, especially if you aren’t going out to the mud flats but common sense will be your best tool on that lake. Good luck.
Out of curiosity, what are launch prices going for these days?
June 2, 2007 at 5:20 am #577232Fished pool 10 yesterday and kept a few Whitey’s for dinner. They had shiners in their stomachs. I use a 1/4 or 3/8 oz. Castmaster in full silver about every time. One-eyed wolfs also work but the deeper you go the more sheepies you catch. A friend of mine swears by the Little Cleo’s. What a fun fish and great tablefare when prepared right.
June 2, 2007 at 5:15 am #577231Fished pool 10 yesterday and thought the water wasn’t as clear as usual for this time of year. It was also hard to fish wing-dams with all of the weeds coming downstream. Still great to be out on the river though!
May 20, 2007 at 5:12 am #572849Good job guys! Sounded like an awesome day to be out – glad you’re making the memories that will stay with all three of you for life.
March 31, 2007 at 10:49 pm #555495Those are really nice fish.
20″ is my cut-off too – I personally don’t even think the bigger ones taste as good.
Hope to be on the river a couple days later this week.
March 2, 2006 at 1:53 am #425727Fished Lynx this morning and only reduced two saugers to possession. S. L. O. W. was the key word for today. Didn’t see too many nets out very often for as many boats that were out there. Still early yet – it should keep getting better day by day.
February 28, 2005 at 12:01 am #345893My partner and myself fished it this morning also. We were on the water at first light and couldn’t get any early biters. SLOW is an understatement. We ended up with three, the nicest being a 19 1/2″ sauger. We left early to get some “honey-do” projects done to stay on their good side so we can fish when the bite is on again.
February 26, 2005 at 1:49 am #345703Fished Lynxville this morning. We were the third boat of close to 50 to put in for the day. The boats were plentiful but the fish were scattered. Caught a lot of little cigars with one sauger going 19 1/2″ (released). Kept a few nice sauger and one nice eater walleye. Witnessed most people just boating small saugers with a few decent walleyes mixed in. Still a beautiful day to be on the water…
