I would have never guessed the contraversy created by posting pictures. All I can say is that I don’t have a problem putting fish in a livewell when water temps are under 45 degrees. All fish are released in great shape for some one else to catch. A camera flash on Pool 4 “sometimes” draws attention to your location. If you have ever fished this pool you would understand that keeping some areas to yourself needs to be done from time to time.

The hook actually went under the nail and could only be removed by slicing around it and then a few stitches. We tried the line trick but couldn’t get it to pop out.
October 30, 2007 at 8:44 pm #620754We actually were fishing in a bay that the wind was blowing over so we were not affected much. You actually could not put your rod in the holder to net a fish without the drag screaming. Once in a lifetime, wish we could have fished all night. There were constant flashes from the other 2 boats around us, so I’m sure they did as good as us.
October 1, 2007 at 7:17 pm #612437We pulled a lot of fish out of the Casino access, but if the water drops anymore I’ll need to launch elsewhere in October. We only saw 5 boats Friday and 4 boats Saturday, were they somewhere else or just not many on the lake? Believe me I’m not complaining!
September 14, 2007 at 1:07 am #608032From what I can tell from the DNR water level data, the lake is about 1/2 foot lower than last year at this time. Does that appear to be the case, or is it more?
September 12, 2007 at 8:12 pm #607606Where is Fredickson’s and what/where is the next ramp north of the Casino?
July 9, 2007 at 11:10 am #588097After the baking soda, scrub with hot water and lemon juice. The lemon smell will stay in the live well.
July 13, 2005 at 12:25 am #372734If you want to catch some bigger fish don’t be scared to fish for bass. Have fished pool 5 for 15yrs and the big walleyes like Rattle Traps and back waters, but it will completety depend on where the pool elevation is with the drawdown. If you can’t fill the seat I might be able to help you out, if my son will let me get out of a day of topwater bass fishing that time of year. Also, don’t underestimate the minnow, I have found them to out produce worms and leeches.
April 11, 2005 at 10:48 pm #356191Just wondering about tournament fishing? If a tournament has a seperate contest on consecutive days is it fair game for anyone with the possibility to beat the previous days winner to the spot in which they caught there fish? Also wondering given the same circumstances and you are a team on big fish do you have the right to inform another participant in the contest? I know there are tournament fisherman on this site and would be interested in any insight. I feel that when ever money is involved each team should be responsible for finding there own fish and not allow another team to “tailpipe” them and take some of the fish they found. I am new to tournament fishing and am probably way out of line, but became very frustrated with the situation on Sunday, because if that did occur it could cost a team money. I hope not to offend anyone and will take any information given into future tournaments.
October 7, 2004 at 10:47 pm #323555Robinson Lake is a Federal duck sanctuary and cannot be entered from the start of duck season until the season is closed. Legally you can’t even walk into the refuge so be careful. Better of puting in at Wilcox, lots of panfish.
