My wife ordered me the 788ci online from Cabela’s for xmas. The order form says that it has a transom transducer. Is that the through the hull one I need? Or if not, can I trade it in for one?

You can trade it just make sure you don’t open the transducer bag and the bag with the screws for the transducer mounting. Call Humminbird and they will give you the details.

XP-9-20
Your regular ducer gives you the temp. A lot of guys put both on and link them.
Not sure about trading in though.
Definetely worth a call to HB customer service to verify…
