On my last trip on the river I noticed the pee tube was only discharging a little dribble. the motor seemed to run fine, and no loss of power. I removed the discharge tube and it was clear, is it possible there is an obstruction where the fitting goes into the motor? I’m guessing the impeller might be shot. I don’t want to take it out again until I fix the problem, so I figured I see what you guys think.

I’d change the impeller anyway. It’s good preventive maintenance. I run 4 9.9s and 15s and we change the impellers on the same day every spring. Just sound managment. It’s the single greatest overheating threat in the motor…

How long has it been since the water pump and impeller were changed?
Were you running in shallow water when it plugged up?
Run a length of trimmer line into the pisser hose to possibly unblock it.

If you haven’t changed the water pump/impeller for a few years now may be a good time to do it. Then you know you’re good to go.
