My thoughts exactly.First you have to find a Dealer that carries them and if it does have problems where to go to get it fixed.Cannot understand some business owners that advertise all over and then no communications.Guess he will be looking elsewhere.

Hey Guys- GM isn’t the only Company that has the dreaded crank down tire.I have to tell you this story about my trip going down last Monday morning for opening day of PA Deer Season.I have a 2002 Ford F-350 Super Duty that I just had paint work done on.I was in sight of my friends house at 4 AM in a small little town.Going about 30 miles per hour, felt a slight shake from my truck and then a loud booink that sounded like something had hit the rear fender or box. I stopped and got out and what I saw was pretty wild.A small racked 8 point Buck had run full bore into the side of my truck or so I thought! The deer was still alive but died very quickly.A truck that was following me on his way hunting said he could not beleive what he had seen in his headlites. While we were looking for a phone number to calls the PA Game Wardens or Cops to report this dead deer, he said he heard a hissing noise from my right rear tire. I got out a lite and here was 2 of this bucks antler tips embedded deeply into the sidewall of my new Goodyear Wrangler tire. This deer had run full bore into my tire and wheel!! I called my friend and seeing he was only a block away got it to his garage before the tire went completely flat. We had put the deer into the back of his truck to deal with later. Upon looking at the truck in his garage found that the deer had embedded his 1 antler ( 2 tips) so far into the sidewall of the tire, as I was driving, the deer was going round and round with the rotation of my tire! The banging I heard was his body hitting the box and the Cab corner and door as the tire flopped him around! The lower quarter panel had a hugh body dent in it, the hooves had gouged and scratched the heck out of the side of the door and corner cab! His one antler was completely gone, probably snapped off when he was going around and around. His other antler was still on but minus the 2 antlers that were still embedded in my Sidewall.I told my Friend that lucky I have a spare under the box, just crank it down and change it and good to go, yeah right!! Well Guys, I don’t know about GM tire locks but my Ford has a tiny little locking nut that fits inside the crankdown rachet.I got the handle out, put it in the ratchet winch and nothing! Seems when I bought this truck a few years ago, the previous owner either lost the locking socket that fits this little locking nut!! I called the closest Ford dealer and was told that there are like 40 different variations of this locking nut and the only dealer that had a master set of them was 90 miles away! So under the bed we go, Sawzall in hand and cut the metal yoke that is at the end of the cable and down comes the tire! Got it changed, and headed out to hunt.Saw a few deer and decided to head back home.Brought a nice sized deer home and never fired a shot!Today I got a new tire ( $275) got an estimate to fix the side of the truck ( $ 485) and called the dealer to see how much a new crank down winch kit was.He told me over $200 as you had to buy the entire assembly! Got home, cut the remaining part of the yoke off, cut a piece of 1/2 flat stock steel and drilled a hole in it.I looped the cable end thru the hole and fastened it with a cable clamp.Put it thru the wheel and cranked it back up to the frame!! So GM guys, your day wasn’t so bad I guess!

I bought 4 of them from FISHUSA a few years ago.Very nicely made rod cases with nylon inserts. They have foam at each end to protect the rod tips. They are oval not round so they won’t roll around. Not sure for airline travel but have used them on some pretty hard flyin trips and rough boat rides. They are described alot better on FISHUAS than on the St Croix website.Just have to figure out how long your rod pieces are to fit them in each case. They have quite a few lengths and widths.

Yes Dremel tools have small cutting wheels that are the size of a quarter and thin.Work well on tight places. Home Depot has them in a kit. Hope this helps.

I have a Android Smart phone and it has a nice App ( W&Y Pages) that gives you all the names and addresses and phone numbers, except unlisted cell numbers or house phones. Or just do a web search on WHITE PAGES. Should be ok to as its what I used to use before the phone. Works good also.

I did a little searching and cabelas did have a hot tiger that they discontinued which is too bad. That is the pattern I was thinking of, so I better be careful with the ones I have. The hot perch color from scheels is one of my favorites.

Thanks as Yes it is now discontinued from Cabelas.Have to keep looking as there are no Scheels here in NY.

Like the old Chev vs Ford- everyone has their opinions.I myself have had Coopers on the last 5 Vehivles and have given me 100% great wear and no issues at all. My last set Of ATs lasted me 48000 miles and I just replaced them with another exact tire. These are on a 2002 Ford F350 SD Diesel. If you keep ANY tire balanced, frontend aligned and rotations followed you can get alot of miles on any tires.

Put the BB 6061 on Ebay. This one sold in not even an hour. Then again, it sold for a reasonable price, not like some of the others that GOUGED their Buyers!!

Anybody who thinks he needs a $100 reel to pan fish, I’ve got a bridge I’d like to sell you.

It is not the NEED for a $100 reel, but the WANT! This is AMERICA and everyone has their choices on what they like to buy.Do I need a $60000 truck to go to work , NO but if I want one then it is MY choice. For $100 you are getting a very nicely designed and built fishing reel. I have not used any of my other rods once this Season.Yes they are also coming out with a 2nd Generation of these reels also.As for the Bridges I have 12 of them already.

The 6061 is a much better reel than the EC and IMO worth the pricetag… I have one in the mail as I type since ,y first one has been so nice to use…It will be replacing a spinning reel for deep water perch jigging…

X2-X2-X2-NO COMPARISON BETWEEN THESE 2 REELS.

also keep in mind when your battery gets low it will give you alot of clutter onthe screen forcing you to turn up the gain… you are also dealing with entry level Marcum, if yor near others fishing with Marcum 3 or higher, you may very well get feedback from them also. FYI
Just because its an entry unit does nort mean it shouldn’t work. We have 4 of these VX Pros in our group and they all work well. No issues at all. Marcum has great Customer Service and will take care of any problems.

Nina from Aqua Vu just left me a voice mail saying she was going to be sending me 2 different cords under a Rebate program they are running, guess its the same as the one previously ( thank you ) posted on here from Cabelas. This in my mind is EXCEPTIONAL customer service.
