i have tried a bunch and this is the crowd favorite by an overwhelming margin, I’ll take it one step farther, make sure and let your prepared fish sit out a bit on paper towels, dip in white vinegar and then go into the Lousianna Fish Fry- blue bag, fry at 375, enjoy

Big Mac when at full pool is a 30,000 acre Resevoir in Western Nebraska, i don’t know how low it is for sure but there was lots of drawdown this year. Water clarity is good right now, i would say 3 foot at least, maybe more. Mac has lots of catfish and had striper’s in it but i am pretty sure they are all gone. We were slabbing up there on Sunday, got skunked, fished in good looking marks most of the day. I saw a walleye caught in 52 fow right after I took that screen shot. I think some of those could be cats in that pic. The 35 fow shot i would almost gurantee that is a walleye, any other day i would have said hold on, someone is going to get bit. Slabbing has been good at times but Sunday seemed to be slow, so many alewives in the lake, plenty to eat. A guy from town caught a 16# hog in the spring during the spawn a couple years back. there some big walleye in the lake

I bought a used Holland on a garage sale 12 years ago and it looked crapped out when i got it. I finally retired it to the garage and bought another Holland on friday. It still works fine but the drip pan was rusted out and the shell is looking pretting rough, it was blown across the yard a couple time in a wind storm. I still use a weber charcoal alot but the holland is great for chicken, burgers, pork loin, potatoes and the like.

If you are headed to gavins point, you better have someone check for boat access, i heard second hand from friend that it was iced up to the sd ramp and there was construction on the NE ramp, this was supposedly on Monday
like i said this is second hand info but you better check it out if your going that far

They started showing up at enders on wed and thurs. Maybe we should just charge more for license and park entry for non-res. Whats a non-res CO elk tag cost? Last time i drove through Estes Park it was somewhere around 20 bucks, you can get a year long parks sticker in NE for that.

    just an thought

not unless you can walk on water, not much ice fishing on the lake, usually just for trout below the lake in Lake Ogallala
