December 20, 2012 at 12:02 am #1122064Here in central Wisconsin we are on the edge of 9″-12″ and 12″-16″, not going to help our ice situation at all!!!
December 19, 2012 at 10:21 pm #1122045I own the lowarnce Expedition, it works great. It was used in the beginning mostly for fishing with a lake maps chip. I do not like the touch screen portion of it for hunting, for fishing it was great for scrolling through the lake maps. But when walking through the woods with it around your neck the screen is so sensitive that it gets all jacked up and several times while hunting it has even messed with the settings without me noticing. Just my experience with the Lowrances, hope it helps.

October 18, 2012 at 11:18 am #1105937Last fall my buddy and I were fortunate enough to land a monster there, and had quite a few follows, we had most of our luck on shallow invaders, and like crankbaits slow reeling them in or sparadic twitching.

June 19, 2012 at 7:41 pm #1077148And if you are just getting into musky fishing and go with the Toro which is an amazing reel; steer clear of the toro winch it is for slow rolling baits and will only frustrate you if you try to burn baits or jerk baits. But like I said the Toro is an amzing reel and worth every penny.
June 18, 2012 at 7:02 pm #1076769Glad to see that it was able to survive the harpooning (don’t think I spelled that right), were you on a lake where native americans are allowed to spear??? Was on Bone Lake in Amery for the opener and had a lengthy conversation with one of the locals that live on the lake and said that the Native Americans had speared over 200 muskies this winter and was perfectly legal!!!

June 18, 2012 at 6:49 pm #1076764I like to use the slow death hooks for single hook worm harnesses and have good luck with them on the eyes. If I start getting a lot of short bites I shorten the crawler. They also wrok with leeches.
