Caught this in June up at Lake of the Woods trolling a #9 floating rapala for walleyes. I was out of bait and having a great day on the walleye efforts but didn’t want to just motor back to the resort with such a strong bite going so I trolled Grandpa’s old black and silver. The result was a 4 minute battle with this gorgeous 36 incher. I realize it’s like cheating….. when you get a fluke catch, but I’ll take a muskie any day of the week!!!

Awesome pike Slack! I know you said your throwing spinnerbaits because of the wood. Have you tried throwing buzzbaits at all? Best of both worlds there snag proof and fun as hell to fish.

Gotta love those tigers! Are they getting pretty rare to catch? I know WI abandoned their hybrid program around 1997. Thanks the for pics!
