I just bought a new-to-me 2017 Ram 1500 with a 3-section tonneau cover. Last year I mounted stadium seats in my Shappell Bay Runner. I had to remove the seats to get the shanty to fit in the bed of my truck. I also had to shorten my Smitty Sled skis by a foot to get those to fit. But the Bay Runner does fit under my cover.

Garmin won the last lawsuit over the DI patent Vs. Lowrance. When Garmin was losing the earlier lawsuits they had to remove the center DI crystal in their transducers and changed the naming from 93DV to 93CV. When Garmin finally won the patent lawsuit they went back to using the center crystal in their transducers and changed the color of the plastic covering the crystals from black to gray. But there were a lot of customers who bought the CV units. Now this is Mr recollection of how that transpired. I currently own a EchoMap 73SV with GT-54 ducer and EchoMap 73DV with a GT-23 duvet…I think. Neither are plus or UHD models.

Does anyone know if you can use the Real Vu screens with the PS-22?

I still use my foot pedal. Sometimes it’s easier to tap the buttons with my toes than it is to grab the remote hanging from my waist.

Thinking about upgrading my pre-2016 24V Terrova with I-pilot. I’m not interested in ipilot link as I have Garmin graphs and don’t plan on connecting them together. Anyway, do I need the GPS puck? New foot pedal? New remote? I just bought a new remote last year. After I got the new remote my Terrova will randomly turn on its own sometimes. Would the upgrade kit fix that issue?

I’ve had no problem catching crappie and bluegill with 6mm tungsten jigs. They get back down to the bottom and keep the line straight. They work especially well in open water while drifting in the boat. I tip them with a Berkley gulp alive 1″ minnow. Crappie have big mouths so I don’t know why it seems like everyone goes small. Bluegill can also eat a 6mm jig. I bought a bunch of 6mm jigs recently for about $1.60 each. I did also get some 5mm jigs.

I can’t comment on the k drill. But I bought the 8″ lite-flite last year and really like it. This is replacing my 7″ HT arctic Express steel auger. I have it paired up with an Ice Gator Attacker power head. I like having the drill point to keep the drill from walking. I was worried about possibly breaking the plastic flites when breaking through the bottom of the hole. But after using it for a season I’m no longer worried. I just don’t push through the bottom and let the blades keep cutting through.

I have a 73sv and 73dv. Got the 73dv on eBay for $228. First season I just used the GT-54 mounted to the end of a PVC pipe. Worked really well. But then I bought a GT-8 the following year and that worked great, too. Then last year I got a gently used Panoptix PS-22 TR transducer for $450. Very happy with it.

Last year I picked up a like-new used ps-22 TR transducer for $450. I already had echomap 73sv and 73dv being used on my boat. I can use either unit with the ps-22 TR. I just didn’t have the funds for Livescope. What a difference between traditional 2D sonar and Panoptix. I was able to watch walleye come from the side of my hole in 20 ft of water to check out my jigging rap or jig. In 3-4 ft of water I can see perch and bluegill dart up to my jig only to move away from it. How frustrating! I’m still happy with Panoptix Fort ice fishing. I didn’t really get any benefit from it on the boat.

How fast are you trolling with spoons? Do you use sinkers to get them down deeper?

I’m looking for a second Showdown 5.6.my teenage son has taken mine over. I’ve been using my lowrance elite-5 off my boat but prefer the showdown.

I just bought a new-to-me 2006 Alumacraft Navigator 165 CS with a 90 HP Mercury Optimax. I noticed it doesn’t stay on plane at slower speeds. I am thinking of getting a SE Sport 400 hydrofoil to help stay on plane at slower speeds. It is the same as the 300 model except it clamps on the cavitaion plate instead of having to drill holes in it. I have the SE 200 on my 25 hp and it really helped with getting on plane quicker.

I had General Grabbers put on my 2006 Durango after the original Goodyear Wrangler SR-A’s were taken off at 80,000 miles. The Grabbers only lasted 40,000 miles and I had to replace them last week. I put Firestone Destination le2 tires on this time because they had a very good rating at TireRack.com. I almost put Hankook tires on but the Firestone tires had a better winter rating. I got 4 tires installed for $607. We’ll see how I like them after awhile. So far they are quiet and have good traction, even in the rain.

We rented a house with another family about 3 years ago using VRBO. We currently rent a cabin. We always rent from Saturday to Saturday. Already reserved it for next summer. We always clean up after ourselves before we leave. The owner also hires a cleaning crew to clean it and change the bedding for the next renters. We have to bring our own towels and buy our own toilet paper. I don’t mind bringing our own towels but having to buy toilet paper? You think that would be included in rent. Otherwise we’ve had a good experience as renters.

After looking at my transducer plug closer I noticed it is a 6 pin plug but it has a locking collar. The MKR-US2-9 has the right plug but no locking collar. I ordered the adapter plug on amazon today. It was $5 off and was an amazon prime item. 2 day free shipping. Should have it by Thursday. It’s already shipped.

I just bought a used 2006 Alumacraft Navigator with a 80# Terrova with built in transducer. It also has a Humminbird 383c GPS/Sonar connected to it. But the humminbird unit is a piece of junk. I want to put my Lowrance Elite 5 on the bow and connect it to the transducer on the trolling motor. Minn Kota says to use the MKR-US2-9 adapter cable. But the connector plug in the photo is not the same style that plugs into the back of my Elite 5. My Elite 5 has a black colored push-in connector plug with a twist lock collar. Can someone confirm the MKR-US2-9 is the correct adapter plug? I already called Minn Kota and all they said was to refer to their compatibility chart. Girl on the phone was no help at all.
