I’ll be fishing it for the first time as well. I’m in Saturday and Sunday. Should be a fun event, looking forward to it.

I have the V8 Envoy and really enjoy it. It tows my 18′ Alumacraft with no problems. A friend of mine has the V6 Trailblazer and I actually get a little better gas mileage with my Envoy. I get 18 – 19 on the highway and about 15 in the city.

I was told at the Minneapolis show that the trailer that boat was on was a show trailer and that’s why it sat up so high. The boats will have different trailers that sit a lot lower. I thought the boat was designed great. Very well laid out.

It was nice to meet you too Buschman. I always launch there and I’ll probably be down there most Friday’s or Saturday’s so maybe we’ll run into each other again. Hopefully the clarity improves this week, if it does I think this weekend should be a good one.

Sorry about the picture quality, my camera’s battery died on me and had to take the picture with the phone.

    Hey guys,
If anyone is looking for a partner for the tourney my Dad’s partner backed out on him and he is without a seat now. Send me a PM if anyone is interested.
Tom P, I sent you a PM if you’re still looking for someone.

    Thanks.

    Way to go there Rootski
I knew you’d connect with some eyes down there. Can’t wait to hit that section of river again. It’s just around the corner. Hopefully run into you down there soon.

I haven’t been there in a while Mike but I’ve heard some good reports from some of the backwater areas. Some pretty impressive fish are being caught trolling cranks fairly shallow right now.

Thanks Rootski, I haven’t been on Pool 2 since early March. I’ve been on the Croix and Mille Lacs lately. I’ll be up on Mille Lacs this weekend and the following weekend as well. Let me know how you do up there.

    Hey Rootski,

I went out of the Public access by Pikes point last week without any problems. The ramps are a little steep but I don’t think you’ll have a problem.

Good to see you make it out there Rootski. I was down there last Friday and ended up with a big zero. It was sure nice to be out though. The clarity was around 3-4 ft I would guess. There was a lot of dirty water dumping in though, so I would expect things to pick up shortly. Hopefully we’ll see you down there soon.

Thanks for the update Steve. With the warm up approaching I’m sure many of us can’t wait to get back down there.

Can’t wait to get back on the Croix
I had a lot of success last year pulling spinner rigs and bottom bouncers on the flats and many points between Hudson and Afton. Had a great year last year for numbers and size down there for walleyes. Didn’t find too many sauger or white bass like in years past.

I finally got to see a 2010 Pro Guide in person at the boat show and wow, was I impressed. I’ve never really been a tiller guy, but I could easily see myself in one of these boats, a ton of room and storage, it looks like a great boat to fish out of.
Another boat I was really impressed with was the Skeeter WX 1880. The fit and finish was exceptional on this boat and very roomy.
I was hoping to take a look at a Tuffy out there but didn’t see any at the show.

Good to see the fish are still going. I’m going to try to make it down there this weekend, hopefully Friday and Saturday if the weather cooperates. How’s the daytime bite been going lately?
Thanks for the report Micah and nice looking fish Mike.

I’ll be out, but it’ll be in North Dakota. Can’t wait, it’ll be my first trip out there this year. Should be good according to the reports.

    Great fish guys
I’m itching to get back out there, haven’t been out since Thanksgiving. I’ll be going after some Pheasants in North Dakota this weekend so hopefully the weather will hold until the following weekend.
Good to see the fish are still going though

    Great looking fish Mike.
I haven’t fished down there after dark. Looks like it’s producing pretty well. I’ll have to give it a try sometime.
