November 29, 2020 at 1:59 pm #1992382Purina One for last 30 years. All my Brittanies and Gordon setters, hunting and field trial dogs did awesome
October 22, 2020 at 9:14 am #1981537I’m only a minute or two away from you. Don’t know anything about walleye, don’t chase rough fish much. Boat is always ready and maybe could find you a sturgeon
October 7, 2020 at 11:18 am #1977984Driftmasters for 15 years or so. 12 installed at all times. Carry extras in case I need to switch methods- flatline style for flatheads or various angles for sturgeon or trolling. Made three trees for around $30 using aluminum tubing and barstock. Positions for three holders on each tree but usually use two on each
Holders are all 1/2” because the large handles On sturgeon/catfish rods won’t fit in 3/8” holdersAugust 28, 2020 at 11:06 am #1968960These are the the medium heavies. Don’t worry, still have six mediums
July 7, 2020 at 11:40 am #1955258I have fished the Columbia in Oregon and a 27-29” eye is normal. Oregon record is 19 lbs 15.3 oz. Washington record is 23+ pounds and 38+ long.
All a matter of perspective. 26” is normal out west while for here a 16-17” or less is normal. A 40” flathead is a trophy here and some southern states it’s just another eater.July 1, 2020 at 10:40 pm #1954078I use Oops! Takes off decals and stickers but won’t clean surrounding dirt
August 9, 2018 at 5:06 pm #1790678Nick flat spoon sinkers work well for the way Andy is fishing. Snap your tip up and let out a bit of line and the sinker flutters downstream. There are some long deep cuts on p2 that Andy’s technique works really good. Dunes aren’t the only situation. I also almost always have a float at the hook
June 12, 2018 at 10:40 am #1779903Good luck! I’ve a friend whose life long friend lives on that lake. Can fill your your boat with ‘eyes but can’t find sturgeon. Sees them all over but can’t catch one
May 27, 2018 at 1:23 pm #1777124It’s been the the spring of rhe missed hookups. Lots of whisker hooked cats. Many, many large and small cats half way to the boat up to the boat and even in the net and they open their mouth and let go. Try a 4/0 and smaller bait. Maybe small floats or spinners between hook and sinker. Maybe Santee Cooper rig.its been frustrating at times. Good luck
May 5, 2018 at 7:45 pm #1772804494 is still barricaded and probably will be for more than a few days
April 29, 2018 at 6:35 pm #1771315Ramp 494 is still usable. I’d use it if I wasn’t alone.

April 24, 2018 at 7:06 pm #1770233I launched at Lions Levee this morning and it wasn’t too bad. Just bring your tall boots. The first half of the dock is under water.
March 31, 2018 at 11:24 am #1764208Would make a very good sturgeon rod. Seen some biggies caught on that rod
March 20, 2018 at 12:23 pm #1761168I have two Battlecats and I am very happy with the way they Dan pull sturgeon up
March 20, 2018 at 7:30 am #1761058I have a Corvallis 401(left hand) that has caught lots of sturgeon and catfish over the last ten years. I’d another one. Cabales has the 401 for $75. Didn’t see the 400(right hand).
March 6, 2018 at 7:23 pm #1757650Ya, it could be our summers mission to catch a channel cat that big on pool 2,3 or 4. I’m going say ‘fat chance’
January 28, 2018 at 8:47 am #1747885Try Derek Clare. Very good sturgeon guide. Put me on a lot of sturgeon.
