Kieran and I jumped in FBRM’s boat Saturday for some cats during the FYB event. After feeling a couple couple taps and after the rod tip bounced a couple times Kieran reeled down and reared back and was hooked to pretty nice fish. He got it boat side a couple times before we got in the net. 36” and 23 pounds

I don’t care what time of year it is, that kids gotta have some guns on those arms to get that thing to boat. Holy cow, freakin beast!!

Kieran has caught many sturgeon, flathead and channel cat. I don’t think he’s a fan of the slime yet though he’s a good kid!!

March 14, 2018 at 8:02 pm #1759741Are these P4 fish? I saw a 33″ 20lb fish come into the boat last year and thought it was an absolute beast, but that one is a slob.

That would be very surprising. Did you weigh it?
Yes these have been pool 4 fish mostly. I have a hard time fishing with 1 line on pool 3 since most the catfish are in inland MN at the moment.
