Don’t be a cheapskate. Oil is the life blood of your engine. Use the full synthetic Merc oil. If your to
concerned about the cost of injection oil apparently
    you can’t afford the motor.

    David,

Go to Napa and request fuel and oil resistant fuel line.
3/8 diameter. Problem solved. Might want to check the fuel
filter in your outboard. Cheap fuel line will actually get soft and rub of and get caught in the fuel filter. It will
    be like a black sludge.

    Good luck,

You’ll be just fine running off the trolling motor batteries provided you begin your plumbing for the fishfinder with seperate wires from the battery.
Never power a fishfinder from a fuse box or splice
into other wiring, your just asking for trouble.
This is a prized boat that you have probably worked
very hard for, hook it up right. do not use crimp style butt connectors at the electrical connections, soldier
all connections and use a polyetheyelene shrink wrap.
If you don’t know how to soldier electrical joint or
have a freind that knows how to do it. hire it done.
Don’t let them tell you; “butt connectors will work just fine” tell them you want them solierd. Once it’s done there are no worries about your electrical connections.

Some people say i’m over the top, but I like to do things once and then not worry about them.

Want a four stroke, fine. just be prepared to twist some wrenches! There is nothing more relaxing than doing some wrenching in the garage on the boat the night before a big outing in the morning. Wrench on the motor (i.e. preventive maintenance) and then rigging up some poles while having a few beers.
A 4-stroke will give you long term dependability but they are not maintenance free. One must change oil in these motors on a regular basis. Contrary to what your DAD or your best friend has told you, black oil is dirty oil.
Do not let your oil change intervals go so long as to let the oil get that black. If you pull the dipstick on a clean engine you will have to look hard to see the oil on the dipstick. Once an engine is dirty it is really hard to
get them clean again. If maintenance is not your thing-buy a 2-stroke and then you’ll just have to add oil to the oil tank.

Believe it or not-contrary to your DAD
BLACK OIL IS DIRTY OIL (i.e.4sroke)

    I love my ’75-6h.p.kicker.
It’s a long shaft, old school.
Don’t know what I’d do with
    something that new. Wanna trade?

The NAACP will continue and always has kept racism alive in this country. Members of the NAACP are more racist than
whites. As for these sports heroes, they sure are some true
role models I want my child looking up to. Anyone who sits down to waste 3-4hrs on any of these overpaid gang members better re-evaluate their leisure time. Take your kid fishing.

Give them the right to search your livewell without a search warrent, then whats next-the glove box in your pickup? Then the underwear drawer at your house. But Brian,
I have nothing to hide you say. Whats next? What other freedoms are you willing to give up because you weren’t doing nothing wrong or have nothing to hide.
Tell them to urine off and get a warrent. If you don’t some day the government will be looking through your old lady’s underwear drawer. F’em!

Tell them to order you one. Your favorite local dealer should do that for you especially if you put money down on it.

Your primer bulb should never a I mean never get hard.
A 98 v-max? Is it carberated or efi? A hard bulb on a carb motor means a stuck float or bad needle and seat.
This motor needs to go to the dealer- sounds like a linkage sync. problem. I know-get an evinrude!

From the sonar page in your owners manuel, press menu down to depth range push ent.
The depth control range scale appears press up or down to select a different depth range. A black bar highlights the selected range. when a new range is selected press exit.
If you wish to have the depth rangr in manuel turn off the auto depth range though i do not recommend this because the auto depth range will target the bottom 4-6 foot of water table.
This is found on page 48-49 of the x-135 owners manuel.
In the index it is in the d-section under auto depth range
depending on the type of owners manuel. If in doubt turn
owners manuel upside down and start over!

    Good luck

Lets stop moaning about it, vote the libs out and start using our own resourses here at home instead of importing
it from over seas. Oh wait, that won’t work-caribou hate pipelines.
Don’t forget about the 40some cent gas tax either.
I know- wind and solar power is the answer.
A solar powered 620 ranger, sure. And a wind powered pickup
    to pull it with.

    43 mph with a 90 horse and 17 pitch at 6100?
If thats what you claim to be true then yes, yes, yes go with a 19 pitch cupped prop.
The biggest diameter prop must be utilized for best preformance. The correct 19 pitch cupped prop should lower your rpm’s to 5700 & raise your top end to darn near 50 if what you say is true. Some select Merc dealers will let you try out props till you find one that works best for your boat. Ask your prop provider.

This is what pitch means; well at least one old river rat told me.
17 pitch=one revolution of the prop, the boat moves 17inches.

    hope this helps,

    Brian

Get rid of the yammy don’t buy a suzuki. Put a two stroke
Merc optimax or two stroke E-tec on the back. No need to get a different boat. I would also lose the two 40-lbs.
anchors. why carry the extra weight. If a new motor is out of the question may I suggest a cupped four blade prop in a 13 pitch that will perform better and run faster than a
standard 3-blade 15 pitch that is not cupped, and you’ll get the extra torque of a 13 pitch without overreving.

    My opinion
    good luck

Go with the dual console SE if you are going to be doing some trolling with planer boards, the SE gives you more room in the aft of the boat when trolling.
Also when trolling by yourself you do not want the small motor hooked up to the big motor because you’ll be towards the back of the boat messing with your rods then constantly reaching for the steering wheel.
Get a long kicker handle to control the kicker motor and move the kicker to the starboard (drivers) side. This will give you the best boat control when trolling by yourself.
The LE is fast but not set up for effective trolling.
The system outlined above is how I have my Lund set up and I troll alot by myself, and Its the best way I’ve found to manage 3-rods when alone. (Wis. resident)
The SE looks like its in real nice shape.Run the Merc into the ground and then by a new one for the boat.

    Hope this helps!

Your technique is the best. The little you lose out the
bottom is the perfect amount to lose to allow for expansion, especially in the winter time.

Managed a 18″ smallmouth on 5/6/07 in about a foot of water on sand while pitching tiny tubes for crappies in the backwaters below the Alma dam.
    Hard to say.

    Good Luck.

I would maybe suggest cabela’s or bass pro.
They will be cheaper than a dealer.
The no feedback is around 150, though I maybe would suggest
sea star hydraulic for no feedback!
Try the guys at Lake Holcombe marina. They are Sierra marine dealers, and I buy a lot of parts from them.
Sierra marine is the leading distributer of aftermarket marine parts without the high dealer cost.7155954633
Also try tim and mike henning-new and used outboard motor parts. they are 100times easier to deal with than twin city outboard. I think they are also sierra marine dealers-

p.s. this would be something you order for the motor but measure for the boat. if to confusing call me and i can help you out and get the parts you need. 2185310018cell

Yes, a cupped prop will bring your boat to life!
If your at 6-grand with a 13 pitch,
go to a cupped prop, 15 pitch, and you will get a little better top speed with comparable holeshot.
Always use the biggest diamater prop.
Always use a prop calculator before you drop your hard earned cash.
You can never go wrong with a cupped prop.

    Good Luck
