May 11, 2011 at 7:11 pm #965295Hey Lambeau,
My transducer is about 1/2″ above the port most livewell cage. Sounds to be right were yours is. I have been having what I believe to be good-great imaging. I have had mine most of the time set at 100′ This morning I saw a school of fish on the out most fringe 90-100′ marked them, and caught some nice crappies. I am seeing breaklines, and bottom transitions well. I have spent around 100hrs between Depere, and pool 9 this spring. What amazed me the most was the detail around the powerplants. However this is the first year for the Birds. I ran LCXs in the past so I have nothing else to compare it to. Maybe Gregg, or Shawn might have some answers.Ed
May 5, 2011 at 10:59 pm #963777I am running the same set up as yours with the factory painted stainless 17p. 3 guys full load, and fuel 37.5 before the rev limiter kicks in. I am going to have my prop pithed to 18, and have some cupping done. Hoping that will bring my rpms down to around 5900 and gain a few mph on top. I will post in a few weeks when I get the work done.
April 15, 2011 at 3:54 am #957392You could also measure how much line come off the reel with each pass of the level wind. I also have a few set ups with metered line on them suffix brand. I think power pro came out with a metered line this year as well.
March 7, 2011 at 12:24 am #944612Chad, It was great to meet you as well. Brian, I got a 2000T. I had a 1775T, and that was a great boat. I think that hull is very similar to the 1790. It tracks very well, and I had it in some nasty stuff from Gbay to Mille Lacs. If you want to go for a ride in the 2000T I would be happy to get you out. I will be fishing between pool 4, and 9 untill everything is uderwater then off to Greenbay. Thanks again Gregg, and Eric. Hopefully I will have some pics to post next weekend.
