Cabela’s Sportsman’s Show at Grand Casino

Apparently Cabela’s is teaming up with Grand Casino Mille Lacs for a Sportsman Show to be held at the Casino towards the end of April. I’m sorry but with what’s going on with the lake these days do you think this is a good idea? I could see if both were working to improve the lake but come on. I have already sent my letter to corporate and am rethinking my club membership. With the regulations just announced regarding the season long night ban, maybe they’ll have a closeout on lighted bobbers.

Pretty sure I will be skipping that one.

Call, email, write (Snail Mail) Cabela’s and let them know the Fishermen of Minnesota plan to Boycott their stores if they hold this event!

This must have came from some Marketing Intern, GREEN and Fresh out of school or GCML greased Cabela’s marketing and corporate idiots pretty good!, IMHO.

Boycott Casino’s Poll on IDO

Does Cabela’s have a booth at the NW Sports Show?
If so, stop and tell their staff how disappointed you are in their management that they crawled into Bed with the Tribes to thumb their nose at Minnesotan’s.

We have many other fine Minnesota Retailers (Joe’s, Mills Fleet Farm, Reeds, Thorne Bros, Cabin Fever, Capra’s, Four Season’s, etc.) to shop at, we don’t need Cabela’s.

Bummer, Cabelas is about to open a new store this spring 5 miles from my house and I will never get to see the inside of it…their loss, Fleet Farm is 6 miles the other way and less expensive.

Any response from Cabelas other then the canned response from Customer service?

My guess is in Sydney they will wait for everyone to forget & forgive. They know 90% of the guys complaining will go right back there again regardless of what they post. Wanna get their attention??? Cut up your cards and mail them in.

Already did it, just worried how few of the rest of the readers are sayers or doers

All I can figure is an executive from Gander Mountain slipped into Cabela’s in an undercover opts mission and somehow convince Cabela’s that this would be a good idea! Probably got paid $100,000 bonus for executing the plan so well!!!!

here’s what I’m having a problem with, where can one find out that this is actually going to occur? Searched the Cabela’s site and the casino’s site and there’s nothing I can dig up. To the original poster where did you get your information?

I did a quick search to verify myself and it shows up on the Grand Casino Mille Lacs FB.
