Was out to Zumbro on Friday, ice by Fishermann’s Inn was 2-3in and about the same by Ponderosa supper club. Seems to be nice solid ice. I didn’t adventure out too far to get by the current. With little to no snow on the ice we need to remember about the expansion and break up with the increase in temperatures. Won’t be long and I’ll be out. Good fishing!

Largemouth caught this last Monday on Zumbro. 3lbs 17in.

Appreciate the advice guys. I’ll be heading out on Monday after the weekend rush of boaters is over. I’ll keep everybody posted. Hopefully with some good pics.

Heading up to the pond next weekend for a 4 day trip. What’s the ice looking like?

Made some calls today and it seems that the Resorts on Leech don’t open up til after Christmas. I got a group of 3 looking to stay 3 nights, just wondering if anybody knew if it’s legal to set up an ice house in a parking lot of a landing on the lake. If not would a hotel be the only other option?

I was out on Zumbro last week and saw the Rochester ski team practicing with their jump and everything in the water so Fishermann’s Inn must have come to some compromise.

Pretty slow weekend on French Lake. Brought home 2 10in and 1 11in all Crappie’s. Does anybody know if the 56ft hole or the 40ft hole would be the desirable location right now or is it just slow everywhere?

Went out to French Lake on Thursday and found about 10in of ice. I’d say a good 6 inches of black ice and 3-4in of the white crap. A few perms were even out there. Plenty of crappies on the vexilar but not too many were biting.

As a premature note, I live in Rochester but I love to ice fish around French Lake area and I was just wondering if someone could keep my posted on the ice conditions. Thanks.
