Congratulations. You can now become a fair weather fisherman. -30 deg ice fishing becomes a thing of the past, you can fish when you want, not when you have time off.
I have a few years to go yet. But I’m a little worried. Most of the people I know that have retired are busier now then when they were working.
Congrates Saddletramp! After you get done with that 42 year old “honey do list” we’ll see you on the water!
Congratulations Saddletramp, Enjoy! You earned it!
I have been retired for 5 years & I am truly living my dream.
Congrats to you. We’re all hoping to get there some day and I hope you have the best of times!
I love hearing about folks that get to retire. Gives me hope! Congrats.
Thanks everybody, I’ve waited a long time!
I don’t have much for plans, spend time with my kids and grands, continue the annual Canada trip with my brother.
I used to live to bowhunt and predator hunt, but copd has stopped that.I’ve got more toys than time, so that’s covered. I’ll be running a combine this fall for a 2nd generation customer. It’s about time to sit back and enjoy the ride!
Saddletramp, do what you can while you can. Our health likes to rob us of the retirement that we dreamed of and worked so hard for. I’ve been retired a year and a half. I’m spending way too much time on doctor office visits. Congrats on getting to the employment finish line.
Congrats on your retirement! Fish when you want time is what I call it.
Congratulations I still have 2years 5 months and 3 days But who’s counting.
Congratulations Saddletramp! I retired in 2007 and I must agree I’m busier now than when I worked everyday, that being said I now take a cat nap every day and I find I can’t do things as easy as I could 20 years ago and that is a very important thing to keep in mind. If it takes longer to get a task done, so be it, don’t push it slow down and smell the roses. Most of all ENJOY your retirement, that’s what those 42 years were spent getting ready for.
Again Congratulations
Wow,42 years at the same place-congratulations!I used to think 10 years was stretching it.
A lifelong career at any given place seems to be falling by the wayside.Mergers, takeovers and buyouts are common these days.
Congrats tramp.! Another way to look at it is now you are on permanent vacation.!! Every day is Saturday But you mite want to take sunday off.?
Every once in awhile I take a day off during the week to fish when it’s less busy. Invariably, there are a few ‘old guys’ out there having a grand ole time. Retired I assume. To say I’m jealous is an understatement!
Congrats.
Fish it up.
That’s great saddle. I hope to be work optional a year from now.
