Live near Grad Rapids Michigan and use to only fish for crappie until I went with a friend Walleye fishing and its nothing but Walleye since.
I run a warrior boat and very often fish Lake Erie and Saginaw bay along with some inland lakes with good population of Walleyes, its been a fun time learning these fish

I get over your way for a week a year, in-laws have a cottage near Grand Junction. Wife and son, SIL and nephews spent most of the summer there. I’d fly in to and out of Grand Rapids for the week.
Strictly panfish and bass in the local lakes but fun. Perch fishing out of South Haven has degraded over time, not nearly as abundant as they used to be.
Do you ever head to Grand Traverse Bay? Trying to get my BIL and son to head up there this summer assuming the COVID situation is tamed.
