Out board salvage yard

I’m looking for used parts for a 9.9 Yamaha, I want to change from 25″ shaft to 20″ and was hoping to locate a used lower unit for a “99” four stroke.

I know, I know, most guys want the longer lower unit

Twin City Outboards should have what you are looking for but…… Used outboard motor parts sell at a discount to new parts but items like lower units (a commonly damaged part) are quite sought after especially for “newer” motors like yours. I’d expect you would pay about 1/2 the value of a used running motor for just the lower unit. I think it would be wiser to sell your motor and buy a used short shaft then make the conversion.
