Minn Kota Talon, what is true cost?

    I am looking at adding a 12′ Minn Kota talon to my 17’ Lund. I have learned that Johnson Outdoors does not do a good job of clearly showing all the extra items that are needed to fully install their products.
    So my question is, aside from the actual purchase of the talon, what are the extra items needed to install it to an aluminum hull. Can I mount it directly to the jack plate designed for a kicker motor, or will I need an adapter bracket?

    The true cost depends on the purchase price of the Talon. I just bought a 12′ Talon, custom-made tilt bracket, and 2 remotes for less than $1400…

    Add a tilt bracket @ $200. You will need a mount for your jack plate. I’m not sure what that will cost. Plus whatever wiring you need for your rig.
