    Just picked up a solo 3hp.WOW that thing rips,can’t wait to try it out on the ice

    You won’t be able to fully appreciate that auger until some time in January. Anything less than 20” of ice is chewed up so fast it is over before you know what’s going on.

    Congrats Yammadog! I’ve enjoyed mine the past two years and James is spot on about appreciaing it more on thicker ice.

    James is correct, I bought a 2 HP Solo last year and it smokes through the ice. I have had numerous people come over and watch me drill holes. All they can say it damn that thing can cut.

    I also agree 33 inches of ice last was enough to make the lazer pro think about working. It was worth every penny.
