I have read on here and I have read lots of coustomer reviews and it just confuses me on fish finders
I am on a limited budget and was wondering which unit Hummingbird or Lowrance (w/GPS & DI) in the price range of $500 would have the best features and be the most dependable. And the least amount of problems right out of the box. Or am I looking for something in that price range that don’t exsist? “Any and All” help would be appreciated!!!

    Thanks!!!

I really like the new Lowrance Elite 7’s. Slightly higher than what you mentioned but sure looks like a nice unit for the price!

Check out Video Chris Meyers did on Lowrances home page.

    Happy shopping!

I bought a Lowrance Elite 5 dsi with gps and it took a crap on me in the first week of using it. I took it back and i’m going to go with something in the bird 500 series. Lots of deals out there online if you look around.

Ben Garver at Jolly Ann Marine (site sponsor) has a special on a Humminbird that gets it down around $600 after discounts and rebates.

He has other options too. Good luck!
