A question for the Mille Lacs guru’s. What do you guys think the walleye bite will be like then. Trolling? Jigging?

I am hoping to come up for the EFN GTG and was thinking about coming out a few days earlier and hitting Mille Lacs.

I’ll be towing my 26′ sportcraft so I’ll need a decent launch ramps too…

    Any info is greatly appreciated..

Depending on the weather, I fish one of two ways at that time of year.(dog days) I start pulling cranks at night (cooler temps at night) or if the winds blowing I like to cork the rocks. The rock bite starts to pick up in mid august, the fish start moving shallow again.

    Hooks,

Thanks for the info… Where is the best place to launch a bigger boat?

Can you reccomend a good place to stay?

I would have to recommend Macquiod’s Inn in Isle for convenience. Mac’s twin bay resort has a deep harbor, a couple miles away. All owned by the same family.
