It’s probably pretty neat, but I’m in the camp of not interested.

I have a coworker who is taking 3 days off to see it. I honestly hope it’s a thunderstorm because we’re swamped and I’m pissed.

Night crawlers were out this morning. Do they come out again during the eclipse? whistling

I was wondering the same thing as I was walking this morning.

With today’s cloud cover it will dang near feel like a total eclipse here in MN. I’ve been a nerd about this stuff since I was a kid and still think it’s cool!

I’ve always thought it was a strange coincidence that the sun and moon appear the exact same size in the sky.

Ill certainly take note of how dim it gets here today by 2:02 assuming its noticeable. Ill never see a total eclipse.

You can drive to any Doppler Radio tower on a sunny day and see one…

You’ll noice it a lot. It wills seem light twilight for about 30 min as the little sunlight there will be will also be blocked by the clouds. You jut wont be able to see the actual shape of it (with proper eye protection, of course)

People were asking local businesses if they stocked up eclipse glasses for today’s event. My daughter had some from her school.

I was just outside and couldn’t even discern where the sun specifically was or any change in the amount of visible light.

LOL that’s exactly how I felt at the peak eclipse time of 2:02pm. Cloudy and birds chirping just like the rest of the day. Life continues, as odd as it may be. jester

I guess Dallas was pretty awesome, but to travel there for 5 minutes is just ridiculous.

Got about as dark as a normal cloudy/stormy afternoon.

Full show in Indiana. Whether you think it’s worth the drive or not, I’d do it again a hundred times to see what I just witnessed. It’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.

A doe with last year’s twins moved through my neighbor’s yard at the “darkest” time in Minnetonka. I didn’t notice any change in the amount of light.
Maybe the eclipse made the one yearling mount it’s mom!!
    NASA pic is amazing.
Space Station video showed the leading edge of totality moving in the NE USA. Looks like something from a science fiction movie. This is a pic of the video.
