Been fishing the wingdams here on pool 8 for the past few days. Wanted to know why i have been catching a lot more largemouth on the dams this year, rather than smallmouth. In years past it was almost all smallmouth, but not so this year. Wonder if anyone has an explanation for me, or are they always there and I just never caught any? By the way, there have been some nice ones. thanks—John

I’ve done very well on wingdams for LM Bass. It’s not at all uncommon to find them out on the channel.

Why? Probably following the Bluegills out as they migrate to the wingams.

All you can do is have fun catching them!

By the way, you can PM me their location. Just kidding John. I figured I’d ask you before Slop does.

Could be with all the tourneys going on, they might be releasing more fish (from other pools ) on the main channel. Just a thought. Not complaining, keep bringing them to this pool.
