I have tested speed again. This time three people empty rear live well. Front bait well full. Boat full of fishing gear. half of tank of gas. I now have a smll dinger on the skeg. Not sure if that makes a diference. Was able to hit 50 mph.

I have the MX1825 with the F200. The prop setup makes a huge difference on this boat. Propped to get a good hole shot with a heavy load I still get 52 mph with three people full live wells and a kicker on the back.

I did ride a MX1825 last year with a F150. That was a showroom boat with a light load and two guys. The hole shot was good. I think the f150 has improved midrage power this year and I have not rode in a boat with a new motor. When I recieved my boat I did not have the correct prop so I do not have a good comparable for a light load. I would recomend seeing if you can get a test ride, fill the rear live well and see what you think for yourself.
I could be wrong but I believe the F150 takes 87 Octane

With the F200 I would have no problem taking four people fishing. There is also a noticable difference on hole shot with a full and empty live well.

I would use 20 pound mono. The trout up there can be very large and a typical great lakes salmon outfit would work well.
I am not sure but small diamater braids may dig into the spool on large fish.

    Hope your dad has fun.

I am running the 1825 with the F200. For me it was heavy loads with decent hole shot. My opinion if you are going to have a kicker on back and or other heavy loads the f200 may have an advantage. If you are going to have normal to light loads the F150 would cover most needs.
I do not have exact fuel usage but just spent a week fishing and am very happy with fuel used.
The prop set up for this motor is different due to a different gear ratio. Second concideration is the 89 octane gas recomendation for the F200. If you want any other input send me a message.

I had Hutch make me some with purple and chartreuse tail last year. Worked great for me.

Thanks for all the input. I am going to use the Yamaha additives. When I get to areas that only have 87 Octane I am going to enjoy the fishing.

I am not worried about it when filling up at normal gas stations. Just when taking trips where 89 is not available. I will be talking to my dealer about this. Just wanted aditional input. Thanks for your comments so far.

I think the F200 became available last week on the 1825. I am not even sure if they have put one on a MX1825 yet.

My Dr. had me take diabetes education classes. They were taught by RNs and Nutrionists. It really helped me understand how diet, medication and lifestyle affect your blood sugar levels. I often fish long days. I bring some fresh fruit, cheese and a sandwich. You have to watch your carbs. Make sure you do not end up with no food in the boat if your sugar gets low.

I have been to many of the Madison shows. You can find some deals on tackle if you shop around. BfishN is there every year. If you are looking to save money, between the cost of the show, parking, and gas I would loose money every time I go. It is a good show to get the spring fishing juices flowing.

I could be wrong but I think the middle one is a different fish. It is cool catching the same fish over again.
Years ago I lived on a river and caught the same small mouth many times the same summer.

Went with the family a few years ago. We stayed in a central location and did things in every direction. One thing I found is that there was a large drop in the cost of lodging the last week of August. Be ready for the heat it was 100 every day.

We ran 6 colors on boards last weekend and it worked great. If you need to get deeper add a snap weight between the board and the lead.

Just my opinion. If you have a good time and catch fish. An 18% tip would be fine.

    Have fun

Brings back memories. I have a picture or the same gate ten years ago. An angry man with a machine gun ran me off also. I hope things have calmed down a bit from when I was there.

I have a 870 wing master and my 16 year old has the nova. My 870 has given me 30 years of service. My sons nova is only two years old but has been fun to shoot and no problems. There is a diference in quality from a 870 wing master and an express. I think you will do well with eather gun.
