Did you use the swivel base attachment? What kind of rods and reels did u use? This all new to me and I don’t know anyone that uses them.

Thanks for the info. I got out a couple of times fishing and caught a huge bullhead, and then a nice walleye. A storm came in and i had to get off the water.
August 16, 2016 at 3:25 pm #1634408I am thinking of using this style mount. Is this the style you have? I will only use down riggers a couple times a year.

May 1, 2016 at 8:25 pm #1616759Thanks for the info. I have looked at the cabelas one and was wondering if there was a different brand available.
November 24, 2014 at 7:43 pm #1476668I love my WX 1850. I can fish in the morning with the family and then when the bite slows down we can get the tube out.
November 18, 2014 at 3:40 pm #1474594The over flow hose did have a upward arch in it which i figured it was part of the problem. I had the boat shop make it short so it was level. I will have to wait until spring to check it out again.
My main concern is it leaking into the boat. In my opinion this is something Skeeter should take care of sine this could be a major issue if the auto bilge is not working and a boat sinks. I doubt this would happen but their are only two guarantees in life death and taxes.
November 17, 2014 at 3:09 pm #1474142Is this normal in all the skeeter boats or do I have an issue that needs to be fixed?
November 17, 2014 at 12:13 pm #1474028Thank you. Ill let you know if they contact me.
My issue on my boat is that when i am filling the rear livewell up and dont turn it off there is water coming from the livewell into the boat and then the bilge pumps turns on. Is this something skeeters does so the livewell dont overfill on the floor of the boat?
I did notice the overfill hose had a arch in it and the dealer shortened it so it level.
November 17, 2014 at 7:30 am #1473942Dean if i dont hear back from skeeter ill send you an email and a video of the problem i am having with the livewell.
June 16, 2014 at 5:34 am #1415908Check out You tube there is several videos that show settings, and adjustments, for these units.
June 5, 2014 at 5:20 am #1414365I Will be staying at Farm Island. I will be launching at cow creek or by farm island maybe north by pike haven or even down river a ways depending on weather and reports. I will be doing more morning and evening fishing. If the wearther is nice i will be takeing the kids tubing.
May 27, 2014 at 12:42 pm #1412387I had the same problem with my gas gauge. If there is a switch on the dash for aft or stern fuel switch it. The gas gauge only works when the key is ON or boat running not the power switch is turned on. I have a 2013 WX 1850.
May 8, 2014 at 1:51 pm #1409354Looks like in need to go find one. Are they all the same or different ones for different models? I have looks but not finding one for my 859 HD DI model.
Thank you for the information
May 8, 2014 at 12:39 pm #1409343How does the y cable work? This is all new to me. How do you switch from 2d to DI?
May 8, 2014 at 10:25 am #1409289I take it this set uses the switch to change from SI to 2d correct? The 2d on the step part of transom and the SI under the motor. What if you dont want to use the swithc and just the DI ducer for everything?
May 7, 2014 at 1:35 pm #1409076I am wondering the same thing about the transducer placement. Maybe someone from SBC could help out and post somthing.
May 5, 2014 at 7:32 am #1408452Took the boat out on Sat and WOW does playing wiht trim make a HUGE difference.Know if i could get my HB to work properly i would be really happy.
April 28, 2014 at 11:13 am #1406739Thanks again for all the advise. I will be going out again this weekend and give it a try.
April 27, 2014 at 7:02 pm #1406618Thank you for all the replays. I will do this next time on water hopefully this weekend.
I thought it turned easy with the motor trimmed all the way down compared to my old boat.
April 27, 2014 at 2:26 pm #1406563I will put the premium in it next time I go out. I am surprised that trimming it up I could gain 7mph I understand a couple of mph.
April 27, 2014 at 12:40 pm #1406548I believe it was all most 6000 rpms I could be off by a little. I can feel resistance in the throttle to a point where it fells like it falls. Not sure if this is a good explanation of what I am feeling in the throttle control.
April 27, 2014 at 12:22 pm #1406544Thanks for everyone’s help. This is all new to me. My other boats were all used and never had trim and tilt.
April 27, 2014 at 12:18 pm #1406543I am using non ethanol 87 octane. No kicker. Motor is close to being broken in. As for trim it’s all the way down when running. I have tried to trim it up a little but didn’t see a change. The prop is factory prop.
April 27, 2014 at 11:15 am #1406533After reading the specs on the Yamaha 150 on the skeeter wx 1850 i think I might have a problem. The spec sheet says 5900 rpms the speed should be 48 mph I get only 40 mph this is for a short distance. I am hoping its a linkage problem and not a serious motor issues or my gps is wrong.
