I’d be interested in the sun cover. Let me know if you can split it up. Thanks.

its not the netting, but lets keep the fantasy alive, right? Also, lets stock it next spring! That has no basis in science either, but it makes a good headline. No netting=more walleyes! stocking=more walleyes!! yay, that’s fun.

Not the netting….interesting. Must be climate change then, because we all know Mille Lacs has it’s very own climate. It’s a 30-40 square mile climate that doesn’t affect any other nearby lake or area. I think it’s funny that lakes around Brainerd or even closer lakes like Farm Island aren’t having all this climate change destruction. Go figure….

Tulibee die off every year at this time when the water gets too warm. It’s nothing new, just some years are worse than others.

Fished the Hunters Point couples tourney this past weekend. Great time was had by all once again! But the fishing really sucked for us. Fished lead Fri and Sat and didn’t catch a fish over 14″ both days combined. I hear the winner was trolling lead, but can’t confirm that. I am still scratching my head about the lack of a trolling bite for me this year. Still catching fish rigging, but you have to sort through a lot of 10″-12″ fish. Great for the future of the lake – but frustrating as heck right now!

I can tell you first hand that isn’t true. I don’t even think Winnie is netted….?

I had the same results as mojogunter – all my fish came rigging. Only a few little mud-darts on cranks. Really is still a great rigging bite, lots of nice thick fish right on top of structure.

Correct – Photo Release Tournament. All fish are photographed and released immediately. You can use your top 5 fish at the weigh-in. It’s a great time catching some bigger fish and being able to count them!

I’ve had decent luck the past couple weekends. Just find structure that hasn’t been touched, and stay away from the groups of houses.

I have a seasonal camper on the east side. I’m not going anywhere. We like the resort we’re at, and the people there. If we can’t fish for walleyes, then so be it. Plenty of other fish to catch, and other things for our family to do. Nothing is permanent.

Are you serious with this again this year? I still have the $50 spot I took from you framed on my wall….want a chance to get it back?

I am sick of watching so called fisherman catch these 17″ plus fish and just launch them back into the water. There are not that many places you can go and catch quality fish. So if you are on Mille Lacs and get called a “wanna be” its me calling you out.

Ya well, I get sick of seeing the parking lot full of boats at the Casino. We all have things that bother us.

I couldn’t agree more with any statement! Chaps my hide when I see all the boats pouring money into that place!

HA! Good stuff right there….I see you purchased a faster rig this year just to keep up! Think that 250 PROXS can catch me?

Appeldorns has great cabins as well, and the manager Paul goes out of his way to make everything great!
