Mike was memorialized yesterday morning. It was a great service filled with tears and laughs. Mike was 40 when he passed on, leaving behind his wife and 3 kids. I’ll miss mike, but I’ll carry with me the fishing adventures, phone calls, texts and playing Xbox online with him and his son Cody. RIP Mike, you left us far too soon but those of us who got to spend time with you will carry on your memory forever.

August 20, 2013 at 9:18 pm #1190598I’ve been called that and a lot worse….even by the wife. Just don’t call me freckles… :smirk
Desperado, lmk what you need.
July 28, 2013 at 1:54 pm #1186091Thanks to everyone who came out. The weather was less than desirable and the wind made it even more so but in the end we had 50 paid entrants with a bunch of kids. We only had 5 of the 6 species weighed in so the winners of the 5 categories pocketed $100. Not too awful bad for 6hrs of fishing. Hopefully next year the weather will be better and we can eclipse last year’s total of 60 people.
On a side note I was able to shake off the dreaded banana curse and put a nice batch of crappies of in the boat… Just so you know Kirt it is possible yo catch fish with a banana in the boat.
July 24, 2013 at 2:43 pm #1185328Never seen a boat before…?
They’ve been docked in Winona open for tours. Pretty cool looking.
July 23, 2013 at 3:29 pm #1185082Looks like Braun studied the Lance Armstrong book of denial and mastered it.
After he’s done buying back all his jerseys for being liar and cheat, he could do us all a favor and just stay away from the game.
I wonder what his bro Rodgers has to say about him.
July 20, 2013 at 12:28 pm #1184619Bump for the ones who missed this. One week away and the river is looking great.

So whats new this year from marcum, otter, TUCR.
I don’t see any of those 3 listed as exhibitors this year.
June 22, 2013 at 5:31 pm #1179471Guessing out loud here, but I doubt they’ll come back to the upper midwest again(hoping I’m wrong). Lots of the guys fishing this tourney have already said they wouldn’t want to come back. I can’t say that I blame them.
Nothing like pissing away millions of dollars in tourism over a stupid outdated rule.
June 22, 2013 at 2:43 pm #1179412And hear I thought “BK ironed my pants” was code for BK renewed his prescrip. for cialis and gave the FW a night to remember.
June 21, 2013 at 11:44 am #1179146I like flipping senkos and tubes into the holes in the weeds and around the edges.
June 20, 2013 at 11:24 pm #1179085Thanks for the birthday wishes! It means a lot.

I hope you check with Stacy first!
No need. It’s my hair…. That’s how I roll.
June 19, 2013 at 1:03 am #1178648I’ll donate my head of hair for you Brian. If it keeps you in the good graces of your wife.
May 27, 2013 at 10:03 pm #1173696We just drove by there on our way back from LaX. It didn’t look good, but glad to hear everyone is safe.
May 19, 2013 at 8:41 pm #1171959I picked close to a pound today. Took a lot of digging through the foliage to find them. The impending rains should only enhance that problem…
May 19, 2013 at 12:24 pm #1171917I found 6 greys and 1 yellow yesterday near La Crosse. I believe its still early down here. If the rains subside today I may run out and see if those 7 got any bigger and if they have any friends.
May 17, 2013 at 12:04 am #1171492I’ll have an estimate for a 30 x 24 in a couple days. Once I have it I can pass it on to you.
April 13, 2013 at 4:09 pm #1162289Sundog. I’ve heard they’re a pretty good indicator that it will rain in the area within 24hrs when one is seen. That’s if you believe those wife’s tales.
April 4, 2013 at 11:02 pm #1159496Thanks for the input. To those of you who emailed me, thank you as well. I’ll be calling around this week setting up meetings for estimates.
April 2, 2013 at 6:28 pm #1158543Nope. There was a truck out on it just the other day. Gonna have to wait a bit.
April 1, 2013 at 11:48 pm #1158252I run a Lowe Roughneck with a coast guard bow and love it. It’s long and wide. Doesn’t get much better than that. It fishes 3-4 people easily.
Having run a flat-bottomed boat for years, I’d never go back. They are rough riding in any kind of waves.
