I got back out on the lake today to see if crappie started to move shallow yet. I just did the same thing I’ve been doing all spring and it’s still working well. I stopped fishing after I caught 50 crappie with a few walleyes added in for variety. One was in 15 feet and the rest were in the 20′ to 30′ depths. I tried shallow but that yielded nothing. Water temps started out at 54 but I didn’t pay attention to where it ended up. Probably 59 or so.
One Gulp minnow and one power tube lasted me all day. I love those baits.
All fish were released.
Is anyone having success in shallower water?
