Does anyone have a TH marine boat alarm installed in their boat and if so how does it work for them.
I bought one from West Marine and am trying to get it sensitive enough to be of value as an alarm. I have the unit set at the highest sensitivity level (5) and have tried a couple of locations and orientations. So far a thief could do just about anything they wanted to and not set off the alarm. If you pound on the boat or stomp your feet in the boat it will go off. Some sources say to mount the unit with epoxy to the boat instead of the two sided tape provided for better sensitivity. I’m afraid to do that and not be able to return it at that point if still unsatisfactory. Any help will be appreciated.

Best alarm is to take all valuables out of your boat.

I added personal property to my boat insurance. The total price ends up being about 19 bucks a month. The deductible is miniscule, and so I simply don’t worry about it.
