Micros in the Bamboo

    I like to see what little guys are living in the river too so I regularly bring my mini-cane pole and micro gear along with me to give it a try.

    I find these little guys to be very colorful and interesting.

    This bamboo structure is full of life.

    Here is lifer #1: Mystacoleucus atridorsalis.

    A juvenile Elephant Ear Gourami.

    A juvenile Featherback.

    I then tried up closer to shore in some really shallow water and I was catching 2 different species: the Redtail Rasbora and the Redfin Rasbora. The basic difference in identification is a red dorsal fin on the Redfin Rasbora which was new lifer #2.
