A bill (SB309)has been introduced in Wisconsin by St. Croix County legislators that, if passed would crave out a specific property from the St. Croix River protections and undermine the protections we now have on of the St. Croix River. We all need to do what we can to stop this from passing. If this passes, its only a matter of time before another one will come along and further erode the protections we now have protecting the scenic and water qualities of this beautiful river. If you are a Wisconsin resident or if you have any legislative influence, please use it to get this stopped! I will be contacting my Senator to let her know this is shameful.

“This bill runs counter to everything that the Wild and Scenic River federal designation represents, and does not uphold the commitment of the state of Wisconsin to protect this Riverway, for the good of all people, for all time,” said Deb Ryun, executive director of the St. Croix River Association.
