Prop / Thrust Washer

    I’m getting my prop rebuilt and this is what it looks like with the thrust washer off. Should I try to get this black gunk out? Assuming it’s old grease. Or leave it alone?

    Clean it up best you can, no sense in all of that grit grinding against the seal.
    Be careful to not blow anything under the outer seal lip.
