Anyone know if the 494 ramp on pool 2 is open. I’m heading to the river Saturday looking to fish pool 2 if it’s possible.

I’m going to swing by there for a look over lunch today. One way or another, I’m pretty sure the ramp will be open Saturday!

A little windy and rain might open that up. I bet hidden falls is good to go to. Maybe even lilydale. I’ll drive by those two on the way home today.

Ramp is open. Little surprised to see a trailer in the parking lot. Hope he has good rain gear! waytogo

Awesome that’s what I wanted to hear. Not a fan of pool 4 crowds this time of the year on the weekend.

Slightly off topic, but has pool 2 always been Catch and Release only? I just started fishing it last year and thought that was pretty cool.

Kind of weird to see one of dad’s posts in that link. My boys and I hope to make it down there a bunch this summer.

I went down to the 494 ramps with waders on sunday. saw quite a few boats out. casted out crankbaits and plastics with nothing. walked up and down the rip rap shoreline a ways. where are the walters hanging out with water temps this low?

Launched there Wednesday. There was still a bit of ice at the end of the ramp but wasn’t an issue for my small rig.

Think any ramp you want to try should be good to go. Drive it like you stole it.
