Planning a Mule deer hunt?

    A small group of us are planning on a Mule deer hunt in 2017. Where is the best place to go? Dakota’s, Wyoming, or Montana.

    Best” can have many meanings for different people. Private or Public land? Guided? Give more details of what you are looking to do and maybe guys can chime in…

    Depending on when you want to go Sodak is a few year draw for mule deer for nonresidents currently. 2-4 preference points depending on where you want to go. – QB

    I would recommend on deciding what is a “trophy” to you. Some places, a 25″ wide animal is a trophy. Other places a 25″ wide animal is a pre-teen. Some places a 20″ wide animal is a “trophy”.

    The units we go to in Colorado will take 7 to 10 years to draw a tag
