Open Water 03-04-09

    Hit the Mississippi from shore today and scratched the open water itch, although there wasn’t much open water where I was at. A handful of decent white bass, a bunch of smallish crappies, and one aggressive carp. Most fish were caught on a white tube, a few were caught on a twister tail, and a couple came off a small Storm Shad. All released

    Doesn’t look like there was much open water. Looks to me like you were fishing the cracks in the ice.

    Well you got me beat! Open water can come any day now that’s for sure.

    Great stuff…if you ever see this question at this late date, what pool were you fishing on to be able to find that open water that early? Again, that was awesome!
