Any one know of a keel protection system to protect my Baby

I talked to the guy from Keel Shield and he said, Lunds are to well built and its nearly impossible to keep a keel guard on due to the knife like shape of the keel bone

Just curious as to what you guys think

I can only remember seeing a keel guard on glass boats. Not saying that they don’t put them on aluminum I just cannot recall seeing one. Anyway by the name of his company I would guess he know what he is talking about.

    Plunge,

I put a Keel Shield on my 1600 Lund Explorer SS about 4 years ago and it has performed flawless. It has stayed right where it was put on, and has not seperated from the boat anywhere. No complaints here.

Do all Lund boats have the same Keel

or do they at least have the same style

I think this might tell me as to weather it may or may not work for me

When you put the keel shield on your boat was it a pain in the with all the rivits or was it pretty straight forward

I e-mailed Hamby’s, their response was not recommended due to adhesion problems with aluminum boats.

yeah, I talked to them too

He said it is a pain in the to install and it involves scraping paint off plus there’s no garantee it’ll actually work either
