Guys I know this has been talked about before but for us that run the Marcum LX-7 or for that matter the 6 & 9 also when your trying to see your bait just under the ice the best I’ve gotten in 20′ of water is 5 feet. Anything shallower and I can’t see it. Now if I’m fishing some of my shallow sloughs say 5′ deep I can get it down to about 18″ then anything shallower I lose the jig. What my question is if you go with the LX-5 does it improve. I still have my LX-5 as a back up unit so for the guys still mainly running this flasher what are your observations. Thanks Glenn

You could always try your LX-5 to see what happens. grin

It’s about the same with my LX-7.

Frankly I’m sorry I bought the 6, it mostly sits home. I just don’t fish deep enough water. Mine does not pick up the first 30+”. I switched to open water setting and place the puck at the top of the hole, no help. Oh well.
