Heading out to fish the Illinois today. Just hoping we can find the fish we need for next weekends tourney. There’s plenty of smaller fish, but we need those 14″er’s and better to weigh in.

Lots and lots of 13″ to 13.75″” fish. Only managed 3 keepers today. Pulling lead with #5 Berkley Flicker Shads and three ways with sticks. Those carp are a real pain in the A**. Snagged one in the tail about 15# and it took a good ten minutes to get it to the boat. It was a fun time on the river today though. Looking forward to next weekend.
