Quad City Ice 1-20-12

    been waiting and waiting and waiting and finally we have some good ice.

    drilled about 60 holes and then put a hurting on a number of species. about 6-7 crappies over 12, a 15″ walleye, 15″ crappie, bass, bluegill, saugers, white bass a little bit of everything.

    certainly worth the wait. at least that is what i’m telling myself. not bad for public fishing in the QC.

    I live south of the Quads about 35 miles how thick was the ice? Nice lookn fish!!

    Nice fish, I was hoping to get out tomorrow afternoon after work. Did you try fishing after dark at all?

    ice was at five this morning. i’ve not fished at night at this spot but we are thinking about it.

    had more fun today. no hogs today all 9-12″ tops.

    ha. i know better. there were some dummies yesterday who once they saw us catching fish from 80 yards away, got right up on us, literally 5 ft away and caught not much. the fish had to be jigged up the bite was light, and they didn’t have the electronics. they just watched us catch 50 crappies in 2 hours.
