The Gov caught a 17″er so no skunk for him. Weather held better than forecast. We were 40 degrees, mixed rain, variable winds. I had 2 Cabela guys and we fished from 7-noon and keep 10(15-19″ers). Best 6 went 108 inches. Tom McCauley had one of the youth winners from the writting contest from outdoor news. They were fishing next to us and they had the big fish for the day at 23″. Fish are deeper than usual and on the breaks. Shinners are the bite on jigs and slip sinker rigs. Windy 30+ today and temps still at 40. Not as many out today.

Thanks for bragging for me. You know how it goes….hero one day….goat the next. Our Chamber and many, many volunteers did a great job of pulling this gig off. Conditions were tough yesterday. I spent the day with my lovely wife, my boys and their girlfriends
