holy sh**! ive never heard of one that big. looks good enough to eat! i wouldnt get in the water under any circumstances with those teeth swimmin around

It isn’t a piranha. It is an African Tiger Fish. They are related though despite being seperate by thousands of miles of ocean.

July 30, 2007 at 5:44 pm #595342I owned a piranha for a while. It was full grown and was no bigger than a decent sized bluegill. Sure was a lot of fun placing bets on which goldfish it would eat first.
Always wanted to get another one, but after seeing that fish, all I can say is…..are they legal to import?

Red Breasted Piranhas can be bought at most higher end fish stores.
